Join VEFA Gallery for an intimate art talk on Sona Mirzaei, currently featured in our latest exhibition, Altered Familiar.
Led by Gallery Director Jonathan Anderson, this conversation will explore Sona’s work through the legacy of Abstract Expressionism, the movement that changed modern art through gesture, color, emotion, and raw creative force.
Sona’s work is bold, atmospheric, and deeply expressive. Her paintings use abstraction as a language of movement, memory, energy, and transformation. Within Altered Familiar, her work expands the exhibition’s central theme: the transformation of the familiar into something more emotional, mysterious, and alive.
