What do we carry with us? What do we preserve, conceal, inherit, and leave behind?
VEFA Gallery presents Layered Memories, a compelling exhibition bringing together eight contemporary artists whose distinct visual languages explore the complexities of memory, identity, and the human experience.
Through striking portraiture, expressive abstraction, intricate symbolism, and the transformation of the human form, the exhibition examines how our experiences shape who we are and how we are seen. Faces emerge and dissolve. Histories converge. The body becomes a living archive of personal and collective memory.
Each artist offers a distinct perspective, revealing how the human figure can hold cultural inheritance, personal history, vulnerability, beauty, and transformation.
More than an exhibition of the human figure, Layered Memories explores everything we carry beneath the surface.
